Course Overview
Ready to turn your passion for diving into a career? The PADI Instructor Development Course (IDC) is your next step toward becoming a PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor.
Guided by a PADI Course Director, you’ll develop your teaching skills, dive theory knowledge, and leadership ability to prepare for the PADI Instructor Exam (IE).
The IDC combines two components:

Assistant Instructor (AI) Course

Open Water Scuba Instructor (OWSI) Program
You can take them together in a full IDC, or separately.
What You’ll Learn

PADI System of diver education and standards

How to conduct classroom, confined water, and open water teaching presentations

Risk management and diver safety
-
Business of diving and your role as a dive professional
-
How to market and conduct core PADI programs (e.g., Open Water Diver, Advanced, Rescue, Divemaster)
Course Duration
14–21 days (flexible options available, including part-time and internship)
Prerequisites

PADI Divemaster (or leadership-level certification from another agency)

18 years or older
-
Minimum 60 logged dives (100 required before IE)
-
EFR Primary & Secondary Care certification within 24 months
-
Medical clearance signed by a physician within 12 months

Course Fee
The IDC training course fee is NT$85,000, which includes:

Training fees
